Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola didn’t have a smooth-sailing relationship at first. In fact, people commented that Jessy was just a third party in his relationship with Angel Locsin before.
It has been a year since they publicly proclaimed that they were dating but up to now, there are still some bashers and naysayers who claim that they are a bad match.
Well, the couple remains unfazed by the rumors and intrigue. If you look at their respective social media accounts, you will see that they have posted about each other with ridiculously sweet captions, it’s almost too sweet.
It’s definitely evident that they are enjoying their one-year relationship. Keeping it real is hard but Luis makes sure to spend all his free time with Jessy and vice-versa. With their sincerity, one can wonder if Luis would put a ring on it, so they say.
Are they ready for marriage? He was interviewed by the Philippine Entertainment Portal, to which the source asked, “Ano masasabi mo dun sa mas excited pa sa inyo na ikasal na kayong dalawa [ni Jessy Mendiola]?”
Luis immediately answered, “I’m happy kasi ibig sabihin people appreciate our relationship. I’m excited. Hopefully, she’s excited din naman. Pero 12 years ang age gap namin. She’s 24, turning 25 pa lang this coming end of the year.”
“Gusto ko muna matupad ang mga dreams niya,” he continued. “Whether pangsarili niya, or for her family. Dahil mas masarap kapag settled down na kayo. Kahit papaano, happy na kayo sa mga achievements niyo.”
“And then you have achievements together. Yung tapos na yung individual achievements niyo, couple achievements na,” Luis shared.
Then the source asked if his mom, Vilma Santos, already gave them her blessing to get married. He said with conviction, “Oo naman. Si mommy kasi pinu-push nga niya na magka-apo. Sabi ko nga, ‘Si Ryan [Recto] muna magbibigay sa’yo ng apo.”
